Due to replies for possible change of venue the decision was made to have two locations - one for winter (DUKE OF YORK - BARNET) and one for the Summer (THE GOAT - HERTFORD HEATH)

 

Dates will remain unchanged - second Tuesday of the Month - so next meet is this coming Tuesday 10th November

 

We can discuss at this meeting how we split the winter/summer periods but currently I suggest Winter = Oct-Mar and Summer = Apr-Sep

 

I will also post on SE region as aware that Barnet is SE region whilst Hertford is EA region - so apologies for double post cant be helped

 

Thanks to those who have responded to the request - for those that have not replied I guess you have no preference as to the venue....having spoken to people who travel a long way we have made a temporary/permanent decision.......we have opted for the Duke of York for the winter months as the Landlord has agreed to give us a space inside the pub and if we get the attendance that will continue and also possibly get allocated space in the CPark....but it depends on a regular decent attendance as he currently has no knowledge of expected numbers.....if this does not work out we will look at the Plough and The Compasses that was also suggested....BUT for the summer months we have opted for Richard Sterns suggestion of The Goat - Hertford Heath as has lots of space and is car friendly for meets - but there is not loads of space inside the pub - so not suitable for the winter....I will post in SE and EA regions as I am guessing these two venues are in different regions - BUT again this should help both regions as we already attract members from all over the UK
