As a great fan of the evo2 E30 M3, I love the colours, and so like the look of the Motorsport edition 635csi.

If anyone sees one for sale could they let me know. Not bothered about the colour.

This one currently on ebay might be a 635CSi Motorsport. It doesn't say so specifically and not sure if its Misano red, but it looks like it. It does have shadowline and M-Tech steering wheel though.

Kevin

Worth looking at this site

This one is an early one with cloth but could be worth a bid

Guess you might prefer a high line though

This site has a few nice older cars including this black one

Prices are all over the place. Seen a 27k mile 635csi white one for £14,950.

I think I will hang on for a motorsport version because of the colour. Not too keen on black interior though so that would limit to the macao with lotus white interior.

I am a bit confused though as all the articles I have seen ( and book) mention that the Motorsport version was not a M635csi, but there is a post of here saying they made motorsport M635csi too?

Or maybe a lachs silver with grey leather.

Been reading all back copies of mags, only 4 years ago you could get a M635csi for £7k. Stonking value that IMO.

Anyone got a reliable price guide on these cars?

Old Colonel have a red 635CSi Motorsport Edition for sale if you are still interested.

If you really want macao blue with white leather there were 5 M635CSi's and 59 635CSi's in that colour combination.

Price is hard to pin down as good ones rarely come up for sale, that gives the impression that the average price is lower than it might actually be. Generally poor ones take a long time to sell and Highlines are more expensive and sell quicker than earlier ones. Classic Car magazine recently raised its M635CSi price guide, dealer cars went up from £12k to £20k. The price guide price for 635's did not change.

Thanks Motorhead,

That is just bl~~dy typical that prices start to rise when i want one!

I think I will wait for a Motorsport M to come along.

Funnily enough I saw the first M635csi for years on the road today, a dark blue one with tan leather came into a petrol station i was stopped at in bury st eds.

I am leaning more towards a nogaro silver car now. Having owned evo2 in each of the three colours that was my favourite. But am not convinced on black interior!

How about silver with grey interior? I think black leather shows its age too easily whereas grey is much more forgiving.

Motorsport Editions came right at the end of E24 production & were UK only.

They had the 12 valve M30 with slightly lowered suspension & Bilstein shocks. Like the E30's they were a parts bin special - lots of options fitted as standard.

They came in 3 colours - Misano Red, Macau Blue & Nogaro Silver. There were approximately 188 sold - don't know if it was an even split with the colours.
